Migration to Canada: The express entry Route

If as at today 8th August 2018, you haven't heard about migration friendly countries ranging from Canada to Australia and so on, you probably live under a rock. The rate at which Nigerian Professionals are jetting out is very alarming and I can't blame them for it.

First-off, this post is tailored for The express entry route to Canada but for the full details on migration through other means, visit the Canadian government website

The very first thing that I would advise is to assess your educational credentials against Canadian standard either with IQAS or WES. Personally I prefer IQAS but assessment is much faster with WES with a processing time of 7 working days upon receipt as against IQAS which is 12 weeks.

Secondly, Schedule your english language test IELTS general training with the British Council which now costs NGN 75,000. One advice is to practice as much materials as you can and also listen to Ted talks which usually comprises of many native english speakers.

When you have these two completed at hand, then you can proceed to create a profile and fill out all the questions truthfully and accurately, after which CSR score is then populated for you.

Note: that is the easiest part, the hardest is having to wait and hope that your CSR score is within the cut-off threshold and believe me, it gets tiring especially when you keep checking everyday and you still don't meet up.

Good luck and be strong, it is all worth it at the end.

See you in Canada
